- - - - Supports the central axis of the body. It consists of the skull, the vertebral column, and the rib cage.
    - - The bones of the pelvis, shoulder area, arms, and legs.
- - - - Long bones are surrounded by a tough layer of connective tissue called periosteum. Beneath the periosteum is a thick layer of compact bone
    - - Spongy bones are less dense tissues found under the outer layer of compact bone. It is not soft nor spongy, and it's organized into structures that resemble the supporting girders in a bridge.
        
        Bone Marrows
        
        Bone marrows are soft tissues found inside bone cavities
        
        Yellow bone marrows contain cells that store fat.
        
        Red bone marrows contain stem cells that produce most type of blood cells
    - - Cartilage is gradually replaced by bone during the process of bone formation called ossification.
        
        Ossification makes bone tissues moms as cella called osteoblasts that later grow on to become osteocytes
        
        Osteocytes help to maintain the minerals in bone tissue and continue to strengthen the growing bone.
