BRAZIL
Pedro II has been crowned emperor at the age of fourteen. He ruled for 58 years (1831-1889), which gave Brazil great stability and allowed it to extend its borders inward and develop with exports of sugar, coffee and livestock, and early industrialization.
COLOMBIA
The Conservatives won, so their 1886 constitution abolished federalism, empowered the central government, and recognized the Catholic as a state religion. This conservative dominance in Colombia, known as La "regeneración"

VENEZUELA
