Definition
A plantation is a large group of slaves working on a farm from 500-1000 acres to harvest cotton, rice, indigo, sugar, tobacco and other.
It wasn't likely, but some slaves attempted to escape the plantation such as Frederick Douglass

Slaves had to wear a dress and apron for women and basic shirt and pants for men but they both also wore hats, men's were straw sometimes and women's were either different straw hats or a towel.
The Middle Passage

As punishments, slaves would be whipped, raped and sometimes thrown overboard the ship.

A slave auction occurs when a slave ship is arriving and people come to inspect and auction for the fittest and healthiest slaves.
