4 Factors that contributes to successful disciplining (4Rs)

Reasonable
Consistent
Age-appropriate

Role Model
Teachers must be good role models when working with children.
Some ways on how teacher can be a good role model includes:
Respect children and people around as individuals.
Use a calm and quiet voice.
Always listen to the child.
Model the behaviour consistently.
Routine
Routines enable children have a sense of familiarity.
It allows children to know what to expect on is happening throughout the day.
When children are familiar and comfortable, it gives them a better sense of a security.
Reinforcement
Use positive reinforcement to increase the frequency of a good behaviour.
Praise the behaviour that the child is demonstrating.
