Population tracking is one thing. Race, ethnicity, and gender are other things. The "justification" of the Census Bureau is a partial truth because everyone deserves access to these amenities, but the amenities are racially systemic. The systemic racism in the government creates boundaries of who can afford what based on a population's tax bracket, which is equivalent to their race. The census tracks where a cluster of majorities and minorities reside. Supermarkets are prominently built in wealthy white areas, and food deserts are built prominently in poor minority areas, as we discussed last week.
Ever since 1952, MENA individuals have had to lie to themselves when it came to what race they were just because they wanted citizenship in America.
Racial identity was/is still a ploy created by the European's to find justification for their treatment of those who do not look white.
If the Census creates an "idea" where funds are supposed to go, the government is doing a great job of sending the money to areas that they don't want to oppress.
I know this sounds very radical but with enough research, data collection, and knowledge that we have learned in the past few years, we can see that their is an issue with the system because it is creating large disparities in our nation.
