DEFINITION
pain and discomfort at the lower back
(localized below costal margin and above the inferior gluteal folds)
Timeframe: acute (<6 weeks) , sub-acute(6-12 weeks), chronic (>12 weeks)
when the contralateral or unaffected leg is flexed at the hip, the patient experiences pain on the ipsilateral or affected side'.
