What is sustainability?
Seven billion humans live on Earth, together with numerous species of flora and fauna.
Healthy ecosystems are necessary for life, but they are increasingly in danger of being destroyed due to human interference with the environment and overuse of natural resources.
Humans rely on the biosphere to provide for their basic requirements, yet as development has increased, natural resources are under pressure.
All living things are susceptible to widespread changes caused by humans, but we have the intelligence to appropriately manage the biosphere.
The ability to use resources in a way that preserves them for future use and manages them to promote economic and social advancements without significantly degrading the environment is referred to as sustainability.
