Prehistoric stages
There are four stages
Extensive agriculture (300 a. c until the conquest)
Panamanian man occupied large organized rural agricultural villages.

When the conquistadors arrived, sedentarization began in small villages and chiefdoms were formed.
Formative agriculture (3,000 to 1,500 A of C)

Stone age and man was a nomadic, gathering fruits, fishing, hunting.
