- - - - As matter moves from solid to liquid to gas to plasma, matter disperses and becomes further apart and therefore, entropy increases. When the reverse happens, entropy decreases.
    - - As the number of moles of a gas increases, entropy increases.
    - - Due to the kinetic molecular theory, as the temperature of a gas increases, entropy increases because the dispersal of the energy increases.
    - - As the volume of a gas increases, there is more disorder as the matter disperses more randomly and entropy increases.
    - - As solids dissolve, entropy increases as what was once an orderly crystalline structure becomes much more disorderly as it is dispersed throughout the solvent.
- - - - Therefore if ΔG^o is negative, K must be positive, due to the spontaneous reaction favoring the products.
