Make eye contact
Could include jokes to entertain the kids
Ask the audience questions
Use funny accents
Include funny movements
Fake falling over
Pace yourselves
Anticipate the moments where the children might laugh
Brace for laughter
Include lots of action - stuff happening on stage
Color - lighting, bright constumes
Include comedy and fun
Audience involvement - make the children feel a part of it
Don’t make the play too long or boring
Include a ‘wow’ moment or a twist
Include jokes to entertain them
Use simpler words and sentences
Each character should have a unique voice to differentiate them
All characters should be loud and clear
Voice can also depend on characters age
Repetition of favorite words or slang or accent to show where they are from
The voice used should display the characters personality and traits
eg. evil - loud and sharp
Good - soft and sweet
