Plot
Gatsby is deeply in love with a woman named Daisy Buchanan, who is married to another man, Tom Buchanan.
Gatsby throws lavish parties in an attempt to win Daisy back, but she remains distant and unresponsive.
The narrator of the story is a young man named Nick Carraway who becomes friends with his wealthy neighbor, Jay Gatsby.
Eventually, Gatsby and Daisy reunite, but their relationship ends in tragedy when Tom reveals Gatsby's criminal past and Daisy accidentally kills Gatsby's former lover.
