John Winthrop was a thinker that came to America looking for religious freedom and liberty. He also believed that men having liberty could turn into beasts.
I picked this quote because it shows how much he cared for others. Just like how we do currently in our society. This shows liberty because he helped introduce liberty at a time when there wasn't any.

Henry Thoreau
He believed in a government that doesn't govern all. He believed that the people of America should fight for the unjust things governments do. His ideas on civil disobedience gave back power to the people. All of his ideas gives off the idea of the people of America having and gaining justice.
