        John Winthrop was a thinker that came to America looking for religious freedom and liberty. He also believed that men having liberty could turn into beasts.
        I picked this quote because it shows how much he cared for others. Just like how we do currently in our society. This shows liberty because he helped introduce liberty at a time when there wasn't any.

        He believed in a government that doesn't govern all. He believed that the people of America should fight for the unjust things governments do. His ideas on civil disobedience gave back power to the people. All of his ideas gives off the idea of the people of America having and gaining justice.

        Thomas Jefferson was one of our founding fathers. He was the president and helped write the Declaration of Independence.
        I picked this quote because it shows that everyone is equal to everyone and shows our natural rights.

        She was an author that wrote a story called, "It's Wavering Image". In this story, the main character is struggling with being Chinese and White. She disclosed her stress to a person and he wrote a paper about her story. The story is difficult because it's about how being Chinese or mixed is hard in society.

        Booker T Washington. Washington wrote a spectacular speech trying to promote African Americans. He was never trying to get equal rights, but was trying mostly to try for the whites to recognize that African Americans are the same in society.

        Thomas Paine was a writer who was apart of the Enlightenment. He believed in thinking rationally and helping others to support the revolution.
        I chose this quote because it shows how every person is just like the other. thinking rationally is a gift that should be given.
