Every adult in a constituency gets a vote, and the candidate with the most votes wins.

Representative democracy
We use this in the UK. Everyone who is entitled to vote takes part, and we elect MPs to make decisions for us in parliament.
You CANNOT vote in the UK if you... are a member of the HoL, are a foreign citizen resident in the UK, are a convicted prisoner or have been found guilty of corrupt practices in an election in the past 5 years.
Government
Coalition Government is when a parliament election is 'hung' (meaning there is no 51% majority for one party) and two or more parties combine to form a government. :pen:
A disadvantage of this is that parties in the coalition must share power and have less individual control
and responsibility over policies and regulations.
An advantage of this is that more of the population of the UK can be satisfied as more of their ideologies are supported and represented in cabinet.
There are 650 members of parliament, elected from each constituency
