Problem and Solution: People are Concerned because of the criminal activities of the young generation are not a modern phenomenon. The solution is Pearson (1994) suggest suggests that politicians and members of the older generation have always tended to regard levels of criminality among the younger generation as abnormal and ‘moral panics’ about youth crime have surfaced periodically throughout the post-war period in all western societies.
