Child Labor

The thesis of my book is to show how hard childhoods were in the early 1900s.

There are still 275 million kids under 15 who are forced to work.

Some kids had to work if their parents were sick or parents needed help.

People nowadays would strongly disagree with my books topic. Child labor is no longer aloud in America, but still is around the world.

The reason why I would recommend this book is because you become more grateful. In our country kids have it way easier than other kids in different countries like Africa.which still has child labor.

This book takes place in America during the early 1900s. The book has multiple story's and paths you can choose yourself. You can choose where you work and see what it was like for those types of workers.

"Employers liked to hire children because they would work for less money than adults." This is an important quote in the book because it shows how they took advantage of the kids. Children were less likely to complain about low pay or bad work conditions.

"Men and women are hired to operate the factory machines. Children are hired too." This is also important because they hired children to do very dangerous jobs that could critically injure a kid or kill them.

In summary this book talks about what the children had to endure during the 1900s. These kids were stripped of their childhoods by work that stops them from going to school. They are put into dangerous working spaces and can get diseases or get hurt. This book allows you to pick your path and see what happens to you after you make your choice
