Protestant vs. Catholicism in Elizabethan England
"The Great Chain of Being" and "Pathetic Fallacy"
The roles of ghosts/Superstition were used in Elizabethan England because it influenced those who were living and make the good better, and the bad not worse than they already were. Ghosts and Superstition were used to block people off and let them move forward.
"The Great Chain of Being" is a concept that states that every thing in the world has its use and power, and it is there for a specific reason. They are placed off of hierarchy through importance.
A "Pathetic Fallacy" is emotional and human response to things like animals or inanimate objects
There was disagreement through the two different sides, as one believed that you could only go to heaven through God' faith, and the other believed in God's faith and doing good deeds.
Another disagreement and issue that occurred was that some people (Catholics) would worship the Pope when they came to town. This meant that loyalty to the queen would be disobeyed or changed in order to show loyalty to the Pope.
