CLIMATE CHANGE - Coggle Diagram
CLIMATE CHANGE
WHAT ?
It is a global warning referring to long-term shift in temperature and weather patterns,
These variations may be a natural phenomenon
These shifts may be natural, such as through variations in the solar cycle.
WHEN?
During the 20th century
It started between 1850 and 1900 where there is primarily fossil fuel burning, increasing the gas levels in Earth's atmosphere
2006 and 2016 were the worst years, when the rate of global sea-level rise was 2.5 times faster than it had been for the 20th century
HOW?
The human activities such as polluting are used very often in general
Those activities can influence ecosystems climate change, ocean acidification, permafrost melting, habitat loss, eutrophication, stormwater run-off, air pollution, contaminants, and invasive species are among many problems facing ecosystems
WHERE?
In developed countries
Such as Japan, the Philippines and Germany are the most affected places by climate change today
WHO?
The human activities have been the main driver of climate change
Generating electricity and heat by burning fossil fuels
Cutting down forests
Using transportation ; the road transport ; which is responsible for 24 % of direct carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions due to the burning of fossil fuels
Consuming too much
WHY?
An increase in greenhouse gases due to human activities traps part of this radiation, which causes a rise in surface temperature until a new equilibrium is found. This is the main cause of the global warming observed in recent decades.
