What makes us ill?
Communicable (infectious) diseases such as virus / bacteria that. can be transmitted from one person to another. Meanwhile Non- communicable diseases cannot be transmitted from one person to another such as heart disease or arthritis.
Other factors can affect health. such as:
Diet
Stress
Live conditions such as:
Where you live
Gender
Financial status
Ethnic group
Health-care level
No. of children
Local infrastructure
How health problems interact
Different diseases often occur at the same time which can occur that one makes the other worse / more serious/
A few examples of these are:
Virus's in cells can lead to cancer
Immune system blocks pathogens but if damage is dealt to the immune system, this can occur in disease
Physical illness can often lead to mental disease such as depression.
Malnutrition which can lead to health problems including deficiency, obesity and cardio-vascular disease.
