: A loose set of instructions from physicians to help patients maintain good health. Based on the work of Hippocrates and picked up by Gale and Arabic scholars (Avicenna). Widespread advice and very common by 1250. A physician would provide this written for the patient, taking into account their predominant humours and lifestyle. This practice was dominated by the rich as it was incredibly detailed and time consuming.
