Organ Donation
- Organ / tissue donation is the process of donating organs or tissues of the body for the purpose of transplantation into others in need because of failure or damage to an organ or tissues of the recipient. After transplantation, the recipient can go on and lead a better quality of life.
- The number of patients who need organ transplants is increasing from year to year, but the number of pledgers who want to donate after death is low

- Universiti Teknologi Mara, identify the relationship between religion, awareness, perception, or insight which leads to a shortage of donors in the Malay community. number of malay people donate is too low compared to other races.
- This happened because of the lack of transparent disclosure or discussion on this issue whereas Islam itself calls for us to do all we can in order to benefit other people, let alone to save the life of a person. This is a direct result of the lack of exposure or their knowledge on this issue.

Developed Country (UK)
- The proposed opt-out (presumed consent) system of organ donation was supported by a slight majority of participants (Research done transplantation research team towards young adults)
- due to high awareness and education of organ donation

- leader of community/country shows a good example
- more exposure to people at urban area
- education and knowledge about organ donation
How its done (policy)
In Malaysia
- Anyone can sign up to be an organ and tissue donor except those suffering from infectious diseases such as HIV- AIDS, hepatitis B and C, and syphilis.
- Aged less than 18 years, written permission from parents is required
- A living donor can only donate one kidney or part of the liver
- Brain death donor can donate all organs and tissues
- Cardiac death can ONLY donate TISSUES.
- In Malaysia, the Ministry of Health allows living organ donation only to your close blood relative. This includes your identical twin, your first degree relative and your second degree relative. You may also donate to your legal spouse
In UK
- The opt out system applies to everyone in England, except for those who are part of what are called excluded groups (under 18, foreigner
- The U.S. has an opt-in system.
Benefits

Drawbacks
- Prolong Grievances
- Possibility of organ rejection
- The process of organ transplantation could be a painful and hurting experience for both the donor and the receiver.
- Chances of post-surgical infections
- the process of organ donation has less probability of complete success

Equality vs Equity
Equality means each individual or group of people is given the same resources or opportunities. Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome.
Because everyone is not the same. So, it is normal to distinguish between people and to treat them unequally. In most cases, no one will care. But in some situations, it is not okay and even forbidden.
In Malaysia, equality and equality has been a sensitive issues.
- This matters have being discussed for a long time since 1951
- in Barnes report where it more focusing on Malay Nationalism which not favored by other races.
- But then, the government allowing the vernacular schools to cater the needs of Chinese and Indian community.
- So generally rights to access to lower and secondary education in Malaysia is equals to all majority races.
Genders equality probably in most of anglophone countries comment on Middle East's women right
- However feminists, both Western and ‘Middle Eastern’ face great difficulties when working to improve women’s lives in certain Middle Eastern societies because of stereotyping and ‘othering’ constructed out of colonialism and Orientalism.
- Employment rights for women include non-discriminatory access of women to jobs and equal pay.
- The rights of women and men to have equal pay and equal benefits
- They formed the basis for the women's rights movement in the 19th century and the feminist movements during the 20th and 21st centuries.

Individualism and Collectivism
Collectivism stresses the importance of the community, while individualism is focused on the rights and concerns of each person. (ciri, factors, effect) social gap
Malaysia (Colliectivism)
- Most Asian cultures are predominantly collectivistic in nature.
- individuals are seen as embedded within their group identity,
- appearance representation of family, or even community
Factor - their needs and feelings are more closely related to others', and perceive the self as an extension of significant others, Needs of compleing each others, sense of belonging.Benefit - The beauty of collectivism is that the group grows and benefits because of the individual’s sacrifice.Drawback - The downside of collectivism is that the individual often quells his or her own interests, and does not realize his or her full personal potential.
UK (Individualism)
- having a more independent view of the self
- emphasize the importance of self-reliance, independence, and personal choice
- privacy
Factors - need for greater self-esteem and the pursuit of personal happiness.
Benefits - Individualism boosts self-confidence, promotes individual excellence and enhances creativity, Drawbacks - but it may also lead to resistance to #change, lack of cooperation and increased conflicts.
