Bob Dylan (born on May 24th, 1941) is an American singer-songwriter who won the Literature Nobel Prize in 2016. He is the only singer who won the Nobel Prize as his songs have created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.
Bob Dylan's songs are rooted in the rich tradition of American folk music and influenced by modernist poets. At his young age, Dylan's lyrics incorporated social struggles and political protest. Love and religion are some of the important themes in his songs.
