1) schism, tension of deprived & privileged church members of church so break away to WR sect
2) initial fervour, charismatic leadership, tension of beliefs & society
3) denomination, 'Protestant ethnic' effect
4) establishment, sect becomes more WA, tension with wider reduces
5) further schism, more zealous or less privileged break away to stick to original message
