Global Issue Solution - Racism
Solution 1 - Enforcing laws
People who are subject of racist behaviour should be given a form of punishment within the means of the sport. This could be giving them bans from watching the sport which is already happening but if they have repeated racist behaviour this should result in criminal action for example, imprisonment.
The positives of this solution would be that the rate of racist crimes would be getting eliminated as much as possible from the sport. A negative could be that with these people going to prison if the case develops further, they could be taking up space for people who have committed worse crimes as there is possibly a better way to do it.
Legal - This is a legal factor as it requires the law to take a stand to help tackle the problem. It requires having the right to punish people with sufficient consequences.

This article supports my solution as it has been introduced as a law that racist actions will face stadium bans in England and Wales.
Solution 4 - Encouraging Athletes to use their platform
Social - This is social as it is encouraging people who are the best role models to help make a change in attitude for the people who are still learning about the consequences hat racism can have.
Top athletes are the people who are going to make a change more than anyone due to the impact they can have on the followers. They are seen as big role models and can influence people to make a change due to their high profile and following it would get out to a lot of people.
This would involve getting athletes to promote the cause for concern and explain the reasons why racism has such a big impact.
Solution 2 - Spreading awareness through campaigns
Technological - This would link in to technological part of sport as it is being used as a way which everyone can see it through social media.
The positives of this solution would be that it reaches a lot of people and can reduce the rate of racism. However, the negative of this is that social media is a negative platform which can cause more disruption if people take it in a bad way and don't care about the effect it will have. This happens a lot with especially black footballers where they are racially abused online.
This would involve creating a way which could reach out to a large number of people which can show how racism can negatively effect the mental health and well being of sports people. It could be posted on social media and inform the people that the sport will change if it carries on such as players refusing to take part.

This article is a well established and provides good and reliable evidence for understanding of the solution I am choosing.
Solution 6 - Education Workshops
A positive towards this solution is that multiple people are being given information at one time which saves time for the people who need to demonstrate it. Due to this however it might be harder for the children to interact and ask questions on the topic.
Social - This is a social factor as it has an impact on people and it is changing the way that people think and how they should behave towards a certain thing.
This would involve educating younger children in schools or college so that they are aware of the impacts that racist behaviour can have on people. It would give them a heads up on how to act towards people and especially at a young age, children are more inclined to take on your advice.
Solution 5 - Report Racism App
This would be a technological solution on racism due to the use of an app for this to work however, it could also be social due to it being accessible to the wide variety of people to use.
This would be a good way to combat racism as it would be an app which would allow someone to report racist behaviour towards themselves or if they have witnessed it. This would allow it to become known quicker to the people that can make an action on it
This would be a positive as it would allow racist behaviour to be monitored easier however a downside to this would be that it has the potential for people to report behaviour that is not racist and mislead people. This could have an affect on the cause to limit racism as it hinders the effectiveness of it.
Solution 3 - Create Posters about the effects of Racism
Social - This would have a positive affect on the attitude people have towards others which in effect could make racist comments decrease in amount.
The positives of this solution is that by doing this hopefully racism would see a decrease. This would happen due to people getting an understanding of the consequences of racist behaviour and how it can effect themselves and other people.
This would involve posters and what not being made to allow people the understanding on the effects that racism has on others aiming to better people's attitude towards other people and life.
This could involve targeting younger people due to them having the understanding at an earlier age where they would take in the impacts of racist behaviour.
