Stricter punishments
Educational campaigns
Promote the problem with doping and the issues it causes
Improve testing
Economic, Political,
Positives- People will be less likely to take part in doping because they will be afraid of the punishment. Athletes will re consider doping because of the risk to reward ratio
Negative - Doesn't guarantee that people will stop, many questions on if people that dope should be in the same prison as murderers, thief's etc
Make the punishment much more severe such as bans so that players are more afraid of being caught therefore will be less likely to do the crime as they are more worried about the punishment

Technological
Positives - Players would be more likely of getting caught if they are tested more regularly. Therefore usage will be reduced as they are more likely of getting caught Negatives - Will be costly to get testing more frequent as the testers will have to follow players around more efficient
Make testing more frequent and develop the equipment used to get more reliable tests which would lead to it being much harder to get away with doping as the tests would be irregular and almost impossible to avoid

Help people understand that doping can cause harm to the user for years to come and sometimes can cause deaths

More people would understand the problems involved with taking performance enhancing drugs
Everyone would understand the drugs that are not accepted
Children from a young age would understand the issues and the tests
Not everyone would have access to the information
Would be hard to promote the campaign to every individual and would need the participants to take part
Would have to employ people to educate the younger generations
People would be less likely of doping if they knew it could cause serious harm
Understanding the problems then lets the user decide if they would then wish to continue doping
People are unaware of the issues it comes with therefore would benefit them educationally

Many would still take the drugs knowing the issues
Not everyone would even care to listen to the information
Promoting the problems to everyone would be very difficult as many people either can't access the information or do not want to
Make it compulsory to complete a course about performance enhancing drugs
Not educating everyone would be a threat Hard to inform every person as many people would not take part
Every sports person would understand the issues
Stop athletes from being uneducated
Social
Make it a law that every athlete has to take part in a course therefore everyone would understand the issues and repercussions
more frequent testing
Make testing a more frequent occurrence and therefore create a reduction in people playing while on performance enhancing drugs
People wont be able to avoid the tests as they are irregular and much more frequen
People may still avoid the tests
Would still have the problem of researchers knowing what is in the tests and what isn't
