      - When foreigners think of Singapore, high rise skyscrapers, modern technology, and an advanced society comes to their mind. However, Singapore has more than just that!
    - - Through these local dishes, people from all walks of life and races come together as one
      - The unique multi cultural flavours in our cuisine are DISTINCTIVELY SINGAPOREAN makes me proud whenever I go to a hawker centre
      - Proud that SG has submitted our nomination of Singapore's Hawker Culture on UNESCO's rep llist of intagible cultural heritage
- - - - Most of them are in their 60s and 70s
      - Their bodies might not be as strong and hence it is a great feat for them to be carrying heavy equipment and moving about in the hawker centre to clean up after us given their aliments
      - If we are more careful, they won't need to work so hard and tire themselves out so easily
  - - - Although the pandemic is now more or less over and business is improving, we have to solve this problem to prevent it from affecting our hawker culture should another disaster come
      - Many hawkers find themselves struggling to stay afloat during the pandemic. With SSMs in place, local food vendors have been relying on takeaways and deliveries
    - - Hawkers should be given help to get onto online platforms as more people stay at home and order food online.
      - Now, online ordering and delivery platforms are being created which might help hawkers survive better during disasters, and most importantly preserve our hawker culture via technology
