- - - - Force blood exerts against the inner walls of blood vessels
      - BP exists all through the cardiovascular system
    - - Systolic pressure: maximum arterial pressure reached during
        ventricular contraction (systole)
      - Diastolic pressure: minimum arterial pressure reached during ventricular relaxation (diastole), just before the next contraction
      - BP of no greater than 120/80 (systolic/diastolic) at rest is
        considered normal
  - - - Alternating expansion and recoil of wall of an artery of ventricles contract& relax can be felt by the pulse
    - - Common pulse points - Radial artery, carotid artery, brachial artery, femoral artery :
  - - - Lubb - Ventricles contract, AV valves close
      - Dupp - Ventricles relax & aortic & pulmonary valves close
      - Mur Mur - Abnormal heart sounds, possible valve damage
- - - - 2) Ventricles contract (Ventricular Systole), atria relax (Atrial diastole)
        
        3) Entire heart relaxes for a brief moment
  - - - QRS Complex - Corresponds to depolarization of of ventricles, leads to contraction of ventricles, re-polarization of atria
      - P Wave - First wave, corresponds to depolarization of atria, leads to contraction of atria
      - T Wave - Ventricular re-polarization, leads to ventricular relaxation
- - - - Platelets - 4.8% (stoppage of
        bleeding)
      - Red Blood Cells (respiratory gas transport) - 95.1%
      - White Blood Cells - .01% (fighting infection)
