PLOT
Exposition
- 1978
- clones student lived in hailsham school
- kathy, ruth, and tommy
- their teacher revealed the truth about their future
Rising action
- 1986
- ruth, kath, tommy finished their time in hailsham
- moved to cottage when they are 18 yo
- made few friends there, such as Rodney and Chrissie
- few events happened (norfolk, annoying ruth)
Climax
- after they left the cottage, kath becomes a carer
- she met ruth at the recover centre
- they spent their time together to see an abandoned boat
- after quite sometimes, ruth gone
Falling action
- kath become tommy's carer at the recovery centre
- they found their guardian at her home. miss emily
- they asked about the deferral
- turns out its just a rumour
- they lost hope
Resolution
- tommy went back to the centre to complete his donation
- tommy died
NOSTALGIA
- kathy reminiscing about her past time in hailsham
- how her carer always talked about their memories in hailsham
- at one point kathy lost everything. Hailsham has closed and tommy/ruth has completed their donaton
- everything that she happy with in this world only exists in her head
IDENTITY
- the arts made by Hailsham students will be collected as a way to know their interest
- trying to show that Hailsham is different from other institutions as the students have their own identity despites being a clone
- Kath finds it hard to accept her identity,
- They thought that they were modelled from bad people
- it makes them feel bad and sad about themself
Kathy
- protagonist and narrator
- reminiscing all memories with her childhood friends (ruth & tommy)
- a bit laid back compared to ruth
Ruth
- kath childhood friend and student at hailsham
- very bold and emotional, thats why shes the leader
- pretending to know everything in order to stands out
- have sort of relationship with tommy, creating a tension between her and kath
Tommy
- being mocked for not being creative
- lack of artistic thoughts
- hot tempered, but eventually controlled
- spend most of the time in the journey to find his 'creative' side
