UA 2023 - Impact Initiative
Learner Retention, ie. Make our programs sticky - # of new learners, # and % of repeat learners, conversion rate
Establish Learning Dashboard by individual leaners and campus wide (new LMS)
Issue learner badge by tier (new LMS)
(question - how learner badge is tied to the Perks)
Create the Perk and Recognition mechanism,
eg. - 1) Learning Resources Hub available for new learners and repeat learners (different level of access?)
2) Learner badge to be added to Linkedin Profile
3) Recognition letter (completion of the course, learner badge, perks, etc.) sent to learners' supervisor
Establish a structure for the continuous engagement of alumni
Involve alumni in the offering of existing programming and development of future programming
Periodic upgrading of alumni knowledge and skills (how?)
Connect our programs to other offerings on campus (i.e. part of a pathway for a credential; e.g. Leading Others given credit toward the Leadership Certificate out of Extension)
Offer a second tier of training that lists our foundational training as a pre-requisite (to avoid the "one and done" mentality)
Connect our training programs with experiential learning or career development opportunities (i.e. secondments, mentorship)
Make it more convenient to attend our programs than to attend external programs (i.e. direct debiting of HRDF, PER)
Make the LMS the go to site to explore and find all training opportunities and track my learning
Leverage LMS notifications to schedule regular "tidbits" from learning programs to keep the learning sticky. (new LMS)
Survey non-attendees about impressions of programming (i.e. topics, schedule, location, format)
Scale the skills and mindset
create a talent tool for internal trainers
certify internal trainers
scale the program in the clients (mechanism?)
public resource hub?
measure effectiveness
make evaluation method
and report accessible meaning that it is also streamlined for time efficiencies
track #of new learners and repeated learners
Partner with a professor, grad student, or organization and actually study one of our programs
Collect longtitudinal data
Build accountability measures into elearning (i.e. quizzes, interactive scenarios)
track projects that emerge from our programming (i.e. from SEE, possibly also from a Innovation Methods Lab) and consider the impact those initiatives are having
Amplification, ie. Promote to a larger audience group
Continue with the UA promotion channels
(what differences vs. now?)
Integrate snippets of programming into other on-campus initiatives (i.e.
Festival of Teaching and Learning
) Proposal due Feb. 24,
etc.)
Continue with HRSP, include dedicated PD contact
profile alumni who are using what they've learned in their work
Establish an advisory committee with representation from across campus

connections that our unit has with other units/people across campus? (as a measure of engagement, influence, trust, community-building?)
