Organ: Group of tissues which cooperate and perform a function.
Organ System: Group of organs working together to help the body breathe and do other things.
Tissues:Multiple cells working together.
Organism": Multiple organ systems working together to achieve homeostasis and maintain the body.
Cells: Basic units of life

Respiratory system
Parts
Larynx: Called the voice box, has tissue that allows you to speak.
Trachea:Allows air to flow towards the lungs.
Pharynx: Where the mouth and nasal cavity meet
Bronchi Two parts of the trachea that lead to the lung
Bronchioles: Once inside, the bronchi split into bronchioles.
Nose: Tiny hairs that trap dust, dirt, and pollen
Alveoli: Carbon dioxide and oxygen are exchanged here.
Lungs:Left is bigger than the right
Epiglottis: Flap of cartilage that moves food into the esophagus
Diaphragm: Makes it possible for the lungs to fill with air.
Function: Breathing
Other Systems:Nervous, circulatory, lymphmatic.
Circulatory System
Function: Get blood throughout the body.
Other systems: Respiratory

Arteries; Take blood away from the heart
Heart: Pumps blood throughout the body.
Capillaries: Exchange substances between blood and body cells.
Veins: Bring blood back to the heart

Ovaries, Vagina, Womb

Function:Work together to create babies
Urinary System
Function: Get rid of waste and excess water

Parts: Spinal Cord, Medulla, pons, cerebellum, cerebrum. the midbrain, diencephalon, cerebral hempispheres

Function: Transmit signals throughout the body.

Function: Break down food for energy

Function:Release hormones for growth and repair.
