Can be distracting for students who are attempting to study, which can lead to study time being wasted, which can lead to less proper study being done which can lead to poor academic results
Advice that can be given
Students
only use social media when absolutely needed or after work and study for downtime
know what websites contain beneficial resources and information and also know the best times to use said resources beneficially
Teachers
Limit the amount of times in a day that students have access to devices
Block websites that are inappropriate or do not benefit a students academic career
