Infant (0-3 years old)
Physical development:
Babies are born with reflexes such as the rooting reflex, grasping reflex and moro reflex.
Babies at eight months would be able to crawl.
Toddlers at 2 years old would be able to run to a place to another.
Emotional development:
Babies would develop bonds with their primary carers.
Babies would be then be attached with their parents/ carers.
Having a secure attachment would allow the child to be able to cope with uncertainty. However having a unsecure attachment would not allow the child to cope wit problems.
Intellectual development:
Babies are born with the ability to sense objects around them.
Toddlers can say 2 words.
Toddlers can say simple sentence.
Social development:
Babies are able to distinguish a familiar faces.
Babies would laugh and make noises to try to interact with others.
Toddlers will start to interact and play with other children.
