, prepare your sucrose solutions with different types of sucrose solutions ranging in the concentration of the sucrose
, using a cork borer, you need to cut evenly sized cylinders of potatoe (preferably from the same potato) and dab them on a paper towel to remove any access water from the potato.
, divide the cylinders so you know which one is going in each of your sucrose solutions, before you put them in, you need to take the starting mass of the potato and record the data in a table pre made before the practical began
, place your cylinders of potato into the sucrose solution.
, you now have to leave the potato cylinders in the sucrose solutions for at least half an hour.
, remove the cylinders from the sucrose solutions and pad them gently again on the paper towels. This will make sure there is no extra weight for the final mass taking.
