The Six Propositions
Just- ‘love and justice are the same, for justice is love distributed, nothing else’
Overruling- ‘the ruling norm of Christian decision is love, nothing else’
Intrinsic- ‘only one thing is intrinsically good, namely love’
Neighbourly- ‘love wills the neighbour good, whether we like him or not’
End justify means- ‘only the end justifies the means, nothing else’
Situational- ‘love’s decisions are made situationally, not prescriptively’

Situation ethics argues that we should have one moral rule- we should do whatever is the most loving thing, we should revise it to the situation in front of us
The Greek background of the word agape suggests love for humankind, while Eros involves desire. Agape is the greatest type of love because it exists regardless of circumstances
