European negotiators are masters in managing time and negotiating spaces, which they always choose carefully, even if it seems as a result of chance, which for them simply does not exist in trade negotiations.
Time is a totally relative concept.
Effort and haste, very Latin concepts, very much ours, do not exist in the lexicon of European negotiators, because for them negotiations, like good wine, take time. Never, ever sacrifice content for time.
The first goes first; the rest, later.
