- - - - Schools, hospitals, markets and IDP camps were also hit during the offensive. On many occasions, notably in August and from the end of October, medical teams in hospitals supported by MSF had to manage massive influxes of wounded, sometimes arriving in numbers of 10 or more. Some hospitals supported by MSF have been bombed, while others have had to reduce or suspend their services for fear of strikes.
      - In several hospitals and clinics in the governorates of Idlib and Aleppo, we have supported primary and specialist care, including outpatient and inpatient services, emergency rooms, operating theaters and maternity, in coordination with local partners or health center managers. We continued to co-manage three reference hospitals in partnership, to develop medical strategies and protocols with the directors of these hospitals, to support all services, to donate medicines and medical equipment and to cover operating costs (including salaries ).
      - At Atmeh, we run a special burns unit that provides surgery, skin grafts, dressings, physiotherapy and psychological support. On average, 150 procedures per month were performed there in 2019, and severe or complex cases were transferred to Turkey by ambulance. We also continued to support key services at Al-Salama Hospital in Azaz, an area hosting a large and growing population of displaced people.
      - In addition, we have supported vaccination programs in health facilities, conducted vaccination campaigns in and around the camps, donated life-saving drugs and followed up nearly 100 kidney transplant patients in Idlib.
