Mohandas Gandhi was born in India in 1869
He went to university in Mumbai, and after studied law in England
He lived in South Africa, where he saw the Europeans' slaves (The indian and Africans people)
He decited to protest so told this to slaves but with no violence
He decited to return to home
He becam the leader of the movement for independence from Britain
He belived the protest with no violence so he was colled Mahatma (great spirit)
The indipendence became in 1947
But there was a very big problem, so he wasn't happy, because the india was divided in two part

Because the Britain put a lot of expensive tax on salt and clothes, so started to were old clothes and he do more than 200 milies to take some salt, it was a simbolic action
