16 days after conception, the baby's neural plate is inside the uterus is formed which is the foundation of the encephalon and spinal cord,neural plate then changes become the neural tube.
after the neural tube closes,weeks 6 and 7 pregnancy,the neural tube will bend and swell to form the forebrain,midbrain and hindbrain
week 12,the nerves begin to send signals a simple one to stimulate baby's reflexes,so baby can open,close and rotate his finger
week 28,the nerves are connected to the organs in the baby's body,so that the senses of hearing and smell is working fine
