Skinner developed the behaviourist idea of operant conditioning. Unlike Watson and Pavlov, Skinner believed that what follows a behaviour has an effect on it.

Watson (1878–1958)
John Watson developed the concept of behaviourism. At the time, he believed that Freudian theories of conduct were too theoretical, and he disagreed with the eugenic notion that a person's genes determine their behaviour. Instead, he believed that how individuals responded to various circumstances depended on how their cumulative experiences had taught them to react.
