Treatment
-
Definition: The procces used to remove harmful/dangerous chemicals from water to make it a better substance to intake in our bodies.
Process
- Removing Large easily visible objects
- The cleaner water then procceds to a storage tank where an chemical called alum is injected into the water
- The floc(a mixture of waste chemiclas and water) and the water are moved to another tank called the settling tank
- The settled water is now transported to a small particle(sand, charcoal, etc.) filter while the remaining waste is disposed off at sewage facilities
- Chlorine is a very efficient substance added to the water to get rid of any organisms at this point
- The water is transfered to be stored at a water tower or tank for storage of ready to drink clean water
- The water is then pumped out to homes or facilitie where water is needed
Contamination
-
Uncommonly, during percipitation, some pollutants may combine with water particals
Farmers use pestisides which may be considered as a pollutant in water which then can mix into bigger bodies of water
Problems
Global Warming: Frozen water(ice/glaciers) are melting in the atlantic areas making it hard for animals who live there to survive! Also global warming can make sea levels increase/decrease
Shortage: Water shortage is a very series issues especially in the regions where poverty is more common
-
Particle Theory
Water can shape into all 3 states of matter from Water, Solid, Gas

Weather
The enviorment is affected greatly by the weather and when the weather is a little off the enviorment can become very unstable quick. For example, if the weather causes it to rain a lot in a region, there could be lots of floods and farmland can be destroyed
