- There are no laws that protect migrant labor, thus they must be updated or enacted.
The migrant workers take home only a fraction of their pay due to deductions that agents and employers impose on them.
The escalating cost of living has also put them in a hand-to-mouth situation as they do not have enough savings for them to survive in order to pay the agent and renewing visa.
The minister is still blind and deaf to a number of other issues. They must address the difficulty of obtaining justice for the migrant workers.
