Advise measles usually self-limiting, symptoms will resolve over about a week, rest, drink adequate fluids, take paracetamol/ibuprofen for relief, do not go to school/nursery/work, avoid contact with susceptible people, seek urgent advice if there is shortness of breath, uncontrolled fever, convulsions or altered consciousness.
