- - - - Short preganglionic fibers in the sympathetic division come from the neurons in the gray matter in the thoracic and lumbar regions of the spinal cord (T1-L2)
- - - - Diencephalon is found between the cerebral hemisphere & above the midbrain. It's main parts are the thalamus & hypothalamus.
    - - Cerebellum is found beneath the occipital lobes of cerebrum, posterior to brainstem.
    - - Cerebrum is the biggest part of the mature brain. It contains two cerebral hemispheres, that are exact mirror images. Corpus Callosum are a flat bundle of nerves fibers that attaches to the hemispheres.
        
        The cerebrum contains four lobes named after the bones they are underlie: frontal, parietal, temporal, & occipital lobes. There's a thin layer of the gray matter known as the cerebral vortex that lies outside the cerebrum, & contains 75% of neuron cell bodies in the nervous system.
        
        The cerebrum provides a higher brain function: Interpretation of sensory input. Initiating voluntary muscular movements. Stores information for memory. Integrates information for reasoning. Intelligence and Personality.
    - - The brainstem contains midbrain, pons, and medulla oblongata. It also attaches the cerebrum, diencephalon, & cerebellum to the spinal cord.
