In 1976, the widow of president Juan Perón was overthrown by the Argentine military, which was part of the Operation Condor. The Dirty War wasn't a fight against another country, but with their own people, the Argentina's citizens, every single person that was suspected from participating in any leftist, socialist or communist movement would be incarcerated, tortured, and often murdered. The Dirty War took the life of 30,000 people, by different ways, death by torture, machine-gunned at the edge of pits, thrown to their deaths, drugged, or thrown to the sea with their hand tied up. This horrific period ended in 1983.
