Response set: Temporary factors which reflects test situation of the test itself (e.g., long test/unclear items)
Response style: Stable characteristics of person. Example of this: test anxiety
- Response bias is not limited to psychometric tests.
- In a psychological experiment, the participants may try to guess the aims of the study and behave or misbehave accordingly
- In medical and psychological treatment: knowledge of the aims/ nature of the treatment results in bias
