◦Corynebacterium diphtheriae is a non-motile, non-capsulated, non-porulating gram-positive bacterium. It is 0.5–1 um in diameter. In the blood agar medium, the colony of Corynebacterium diphtheriae is small, serranular, and gray, with irregular edges.
