Rations
A ratio is an ordered pair of numbers a and b, written a / b where b does not equal 0.

How to create them: You draw to lines ( one top one bottom) and must put units next to the number line.
How to use: Divid the numbers to 1, and multiply by the number you want to know.

Example: Distance per unit time, quantity per cost, number of heartbeats per minute are some examples

Big units to small units: because we are cutting the big units into smaller pieces (many more of them) we use multiplication. You multiply the amount that you have by the conversion factor.
Small units to big units: because we are going from small to larger units, we have to divide to make bigger pieces (taking smaller pieces and combining them to get bigger pieces). You take the amount that you have and divide by the conversion factor.

Fractions where the denominator is 100.
A number or ratio that can be expressed as a fraction of 100.
