FUNCTIONS
Types Of Functions
-
Constant Function Function
defined from x→Y . All elements of set X match one and constant element of set Y.
-
Graph Of the Constant Function
-
Linear Function
Function defined from set x→x.f(a)=ma+n (m,n ∈R and m≠0)
Graph Of The Linear Function

-
Equal Function
Let f and h be two functions defined from X to Y. Then f(a)=h(a) for all elements of X. f=h
-
One to One Function(1-1)
Each element in the domain match with different than other elements of domain.
-
General Rule
Image of each element in the domain is different than other element of domain. Horizontal Line Test To understand whether a graph shows a one-to-one function, horizontal lines draw parallel to the x-axis. If lines intersect just one point on the graph it is a "one-to-one" function.
