During the febrile phase = DF, Antipyretic may be indicated, salicylate 🡪 avoided
Critical period : on or after the third day of illness a drop in platelets count < 100,000/ml or 1-2 platelets/oil fields a rise in Ht > 20 % (eg. Increase from 35 % to 42 %) in grade I and II IVFD may be given for 12 – 24 hours High Ht, Platelets <50,000/ml, spontaneous hemorrhage 🡪 hospitalized
