Prohibition
Prohibition in US history refers to legal prevention of the manufacture, sale, and transportation of alcoholic beverages 1920 to 1933 under the 18th amendment.

It did not affect the upper class as much as the lower class because the upper class because the upper class could pay for actual alcohol and the lower class had to make moonshine. Making moonshine was a risk because the ingredients were often poisoned.

The government tried to make rich people to put more money in the economy. They tried to have businesses focus on people that already had money.

There were hundreds of organizations and laws put in place to try and make it better. They also tried to regulate business products. They abolished child labour.
He wanted to make changes in the country, and before that, nothing was getting done.

Not everyone had extra money, but people used credit to buy everything.
