Strengths Self Assesment
So What: From this experience, I learned that I have plenty strengths that I wasn't fully aware of but now I can apply them to my everyday life
Now What: This experience allows to be more aware of my strengths which is helpful to me because I ow apply these skills to everyday opportunities
What: This assignment was about answering a series of questions to find out what my biggest strengths were
Exploring Health Careers
So What: I'm asking what opportunities I can start to partake in while I'm still in college to begin gaining experience
Now What: I could get involved in these experiences by possible interviewing for these entry level positions
What: We learned about different health careers that we may not have known or been expose to previously. We learned about many entry level jobs that we could start to do even now.
Values
So What: This experience taught me about the difference between empathy and sympathy and the values it takes to be a good caretaker
Now What: This experience will teach me how to keep an open mind in all situations but specifically when I am in charge of a patients care because it is important to have understanding
What: We learned about what it means to have empathy and humility when it comes to various situations
Resume
So What: Although I believed I didn't have much experience, I found that a lot my skills will be transferrable when I begin the job searching experience.
What: For this assignment I created a professional resume and I found it quite difficult to draw on the little professional experience that I have but I found it quite exciting to be able to take part in something that will help me in future scenarios.
Now What: This experience will open up more job opportunities for me because I now have a base resume that I can continue to build on.
Understanding the Patient Experience
So What: this taught me a lot about out healthcare system because I didn't understand what the treatment could feel like for a patient who has little to no knowledge about their situations
Now What: I will use this knowledge to do everything in my power to make the patient experience better when I am in a position to do so
What: We learned all about how the healthcare system looks from a patient's point of view
Transferrable Skills
So What: This experience helped me learn that I had more valuable skills than I realized and it was beneficial for me to add them to my resume
Now What: From this experience, I am now able to apply this knowledge to whenever I have to update my professional resume and add new skills
What: We learned about what our most transferrable skills were from previous jobs and how to add them to our resumes
Linkedin and Handshake
So What: This experience taught me the importance of these websites because it's a great way to network
Now What: I will continue to use and update these platforms and suggest that everyone tries to get involved with these websites as they ate extremely helpful
What: We created professional Linkedin and Handshake profiles to make it easier to find and search for jobs
Networking and Experimental Learning
What: We learned about various ways to get involved with our professions early by shadowing and other opportunities to gain experience and get our names out into the open
Now What: This experience will contribute to my career because now I am aware of shadowing opportunities that I can partake in over the summer
So What: This experience taught me that there are plenty of ways to begin earning experience while I'm still in school
